Her teacher recommended a previous model, PSR E232, for it's low price, good sound and touch sensitive keys, but I decided on the PSR E333 which was almost the same price. It's been perfect for her home practice, the sound is great on it's own but you can hook it up to an amplifier or your home sound system and the sound is awesome. My only complaint: It works on AC power or AA batteries and the AC adapter isn't included. The audio cable for hooking up to an amp or sound system isn't included either. Never played piano or keyboard before? The EZ-200 lighted keyboard from Yamaha will have you playing songs from the very first day. Just call up a song from the 100 songs built-in to the keyboard, select if you'd like to play the left or right hand part and hit "Start". The keyboard will light up the key that you're supposed to play, and in fact, the song will actually stop and wait for you to find the correct key! Well to my surprise, the stand was very easy to assemble and it was so stable, height is adjustable also, so it can be used standing up or adjusted lower so you can sit at a comfortable position. I immediately cancelled my order for the other stand.I also purchased the Yamaha UX16 MIDI cable so I can connect this to my computer.
