5.0 out of 5 stars Keyboard package was a Christmas hit!, December 30, 2009

I had a keyboard as a kid and knew that it would go over well for my boyfriend's 8 y/o artist/musician/gymnast wanna be. While most of the features are too advanced for her, she's catching on!

I did a lot of searching. The price for just the keyboard was somewhat standard for a sale price at at least one store, but I couldn't find such a reasonable bundle anywhere. Any parent who considers this MUST, MUST, MUST purchase the headphones, and the stand is a blessing. It keeps it off the floor and makes for a more realistic piano lesson at home.

Good sound; lots of bells and whistles. Sure it doesn't have 88 keys, but most people don't use the top or bottom keys very often. I think this keyboard is just perfect!

1.0 out of 5 stars Incompatible stand, April 17, 2010

I had to return this product package because the "Deluxe Keyboard Stand" was not compatible with this keyboard. Yamaha's customer service was horrendous. They just said that it was a package deal and that there was nothing they could do about it. I asked them why in the world they would put together a package with parts that were not compatible with each other and none of the representatives I spoke with could give me a reasonable answer, including a supervising manager. I told them that the keyboard itself sounded fine and asked them if I could simply return the stand and replace it with a compatible stand, which they said that they had in stock. But they refused and said that I had to go through Amazon and return the whole package. It was very frustrating and I feel very soured toward Yamaha. Thankfully, I kept the packaging boxes in good order and Amazon's customer service is great so I was able to return the whole package for a full refund.

Performs as advertised. My daughter is learning to play songs from the built-in tutor in the keyboard. I can't say enough about the hours of entertainment she gets out of this. It's a quality keyboard at a great price. I am a satisfied customer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great entry level keyboard, January 2, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Yamaha PSRE333 61 Key Portable Personal Keyboard
I bought this keyboard for my 6 year old who's taking lessons at a Yamaha school. Her teacher recommended a previous model, PSR E232, for it's low price, good sound and touch sensitive keys, but I decided on the PSR E333 which was almost the same price. It's been perfect for her home practice, the sound is great on it's own but you can hook it up to an amplifier or your home sound system and the sound is awesome. My only complaint: It works on AC power or AA batteries and the AC adapter isn't included. The audio cable for hooking up to an amp or sound system isn't included either. All in all, I'm very pleased with this keyboard and definitely would recommend it.

This keyboard is superb for beginners all the way for some intermediates. With 61 touch response keys of fun and its pure unmatched stereo sound , this Yamaha will never disappoint you. Even its Key built in Education Suite paired with an LCD screen to show pressed keys, it is quite fun and you will never stop learning. I love this keyboard so much! It is possibly the best beginners keyboard for me. Always go for a Yamaha !

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific value for money and great fun to play, July 14, 2012

Dolphin (Stuck inside a cloud) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Yamaha PSRE333 61 Key Portable Personal Keyboard
This keyboard is one of the best things I've ever bought ! And talk about value for money ... it certainly compares favourably with most other musical instruments, electric guitars and the like. Since it arrived, four months ago, it has been put to daily use by at least two of us and we are not even close to discovering all that it can do. I had looked at (and nearly bought) the Yamaha Piaggero NP31 76-Key Lightweight Compact Portable Keyboard and, if the intended user had been a child learning to play piano, it would have been a great choice. As it is, we are all adults with no previous experience and no expectations of becoming classical pianists, so we thought we might as well get something that would be more "fun" than just a piano. And fun it certainly is!

There are 497 voices - the vast majority are sampled... Read more

I think the this keyboard sounds great! Although with your still not sure watch this video of me showing some of the instruments it has.

    Extra's that come with it
    ===================
    1. Recorder (record your songs and listen to them play back) you can also store multiple recordings in it for later use.
    2. Sustain (acts like your holding down on a sustain pedal without actually having one.
    3. Dual Instruments (have 2 instruments go at once)
    4. Split button and a harmony button.

I actually used a sustain pedal for this.

Very nice keyboard for a beginner or an experienced musician.
Tons of great features which I have yet to learn. Sounds very realistic, better then Casio keyboards.
The only dissapointment was that on the product discription page it does not say that keyboard comes with AC adapter. Based on the description and the suggestion from Amazon that together with the keyboard customers were buying AC adapter; I ordered AC adapter separately. Now I have 2 adapters, one of them is collecting dust and was additional expense to me for no reason. Beware! Do not order separate AC adapter with this keyboard, it already comes with one. I give 4 stars because of that, otherwise it would be 5.
I also ordered Yamaha L3C Attachable Keyboard Stand for this keyboard. Yamaha does not say it's compatible with YPT-320, but it fits nicesly. I like the fact that the stand is screwed to the bottom of the keyboard so it will not fly off the stand, like it can do from one of those X-style... Read more
