It was quite easy to install and we could get started within 5 minutes.My 2 kids aged 12 and 14 enjoy this keyboard from day 1. It has become their daily routine. They have not taken any lessons, but know how to read music because of their school. And that was enough to get them started on their own and they have improved themselves with the large selection of beginner's songs and music lessons that came with the outfit. Since it was difficult to use it by keeping it on a table, within a couple of days I also ordered the L3C stand from Amazon. There was a $5 coupon in the outfit for that purchase. I suggest buying the stand too because it has three screws at the bottom that can be easily installed without any tools and can keep the piano steady.
